A Thousand Challenge

Hello to every poet around the world reading this.

We’re rising a poetry challenge to have a thousand poets write poetry on “A Thousand“.

It’s going to be fun. You’ll also get to feature on our official blog site and The Voice Journal.

All you have to do is follow the example below:

  • Write five to ten lines of poetry.
  • Each word on each sentence must be able to stand alone with “A Thousand”. For instance, A thousand time, A thousand wishes, A thousand rejection etc.
  • Each line must start with “A Thousand”. For instance, A thousand time of tears and wishes, fear and expectation plus rejection, fewer hopes and demand.
  • Each line must be arranged as shown in the example below.
  • Write and publish your A Thousand Challenge poem on your blog.
  • Use the tag “AThousandChallenge” and or #athousandchallenge
  • If you do not own a blog, send your poem to admin@giftedminds.com.ng
  • Ensure you have your name on all entries.

A thousand not enough

A thousand more

A thousand dreams

A thousand hurts


A thousand-year and prayers of you not enough; more dreams hurt.


A thousand and a thousand

A thousand love

A thousand life

A thousand waits

A thousand over and over

A thousand for accomplishment

A thousand love; life waits over and over for accomplishment.
