COVID 19: Update on vaccine production in Nigeria

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, on Thursday, met with pharmaceutical companies regarding a COVID-19 vaccine.

At the virtual meeting with representatives of Pfizer & Biotech, Osinbajo stated that what was critical in the vaccine development is the health & safety of Nigerian citizens.

Pfizer & Biotech are promoters of COVID-19 vaccine pushing for how Nigeria will be prioritized in Africa once a good vaccine is ready.

Meanwhile, the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 announced the extension of the ease of lockdown by another four weeks.

The taskforce made the disclosure during its daily briefing in Abuja, on Thursday.
