Sanwo-Olu declares state of emergency on Lagos roads
The executive Governor of Lagos state, Nigeria has declared a state of emergency on some major roads in Lagos-Nigeria. According to information gathered, Special Adviser on Works and Infrastructure, Aramide Adeyoye, listed some of the critical highways and roads to be constructed to include Ojota stretch of the Ikorodu Road, Motorways-Kudirat Abiola Way, Apogbon Highway, Babs Animashaun Road, Agric/Ishawo Road and Ijede Road in Ikorodu, and Lekki-Epe Expressway from Abraham Adesanya to Eleko Junction.
BUILDING CONTINUE TO COLLAPSE IN LAGOS STATE – 4 LIVES LOST RECENTLY
A building on Rademo Street, behind Recreation Center, Ita Elewa, Ikorodu is reported to have collapsed. However, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, said it was caused by the day’s torrential rain. He added that no life was lost. But, there was an earlier collapse that same day that claimed the lives of four persons in Orisha community of Magodo, Lagos state.
