British-Nigerian actor, John Boyega has joined the protest against the killing of George Floyd as they demand justices for the departed.
George Floyd who was murdered on May 25 by a former white Minneapolis police officer has since been a trending issue in the US till date.
The Star Wars actor joining the London‘s protest in Hyde Park was noted to have arrived prepared with words of emotion and insight.
Boyega addressing racial injustices noted that ‘it is painful to be reminded everyday that your race means nothing.’
“Black lives have always mattered, We have always been important. We have always meant something. We have always succeeded regardless. And now is the time. I ain’t waiting.
“Every Black person in here remembers when another person reminded you that you are Black … I need you to understand how painful this sh*t is, how painful it is to be reminded everyday that your race means nothing. And that isn’t the case anymore.”
