Executioner's dream by Kwesi Brew

If you’ve been reading or watching the news lately, it can seem like the whole world is in pain.

Every day, it seems, there’s a new tragedy in which lives have been needlessly lost, or a natural disaster has destroyed a community, or there’s another disturbing story of corruption and wrongdoing.

Recently, I went to Amana community of Obanliku LGA, Cross River State, I was stunned by so many refugees who lost their homes, all the way from Cameroon. Other people lost their lives, and many had their loved ones taken from them.

Needless to say, it was a very difficult time for these people But, the amazing part was how the entire community pulled together in a beautiful way, and accommodate them.

However, the important thing to realize, is that change is inevitable.

When change happens, you can either cooperate with it and learn how to adapt and grow from it, or you can resist it and let it affect you in a negative way.

Once you encounter change, it’s essential to keep a positive, forward-focused mindset, no matter what the world throws at you.

This is one of the most important Success Principles I learned from Jack Canfield: Event + Response = Outcome.

The basic idea is that every outcome you experience in life is the direct result of how you chose to respond to an earlier event (or events) in your life.

Remember, we can’t control the events that happen to us, but we can always control how we choose to respond to them.
